Placerville Speedway will host Red Hawk Resort + Casino Night on Saturday, Aug. 8, with just three point races remaining in its Berco Building Materials championship season.
The event is a late-season checkpoint for several title battles at the Placerville track, which opened in 1965 and sits at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.

In the Thompson’s Family of Dealerships Winged 360 Sprint Car standings, Justyn Cox leads Andy Forsberg by 33 points.
Rod Oliver holds a 41-point advantage over Tyler Lightfoot in the Kings Meats Ltd. Late Models division.
The Red Hawk Resort + Casino Pure Stocks division has also produced a standout season from Nick Baldwin, who has won seven races and is chasing an eighth title.
The most recent Nor-Cal Dwarf Car Association feature ended with Mike Grenert scoring a final-lap victory.
Ticket prices, gate times and on-site entertainment
Adult grandstand tickets are $18. Seniors 62 and older, military members, and juniors ages 12 to 17 are $16, while tickets for children ages 6 to 11 cost $8. Children 5 and younger are admitted free.
The pit gate opens at noon, the front gate opens at 4 p.m., and cars are scheduled to hit the track at 5:15 p.m.
Hirst Home Team Happy Hour runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and includes discounted beer and $6 Kings Meats cheeseburgers. Live music is scheduled from Tamra Godey, with Cody Ebert also set to appear.

Placerville Speedway’s upcoming schedule also includes Half Priced Burger Night on Aug. 15 and the Gold Rush Classic on Aug. 22, which will feature Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Winged 410 Sprint Cars.
