Choctaw Casinos & Resorts has launched Choctaw Sports, a free-to-play online sportsbook app that lets users make sports predictions without risking real money, even as Oklahoma continues to ban legal sports betting.
The app is available nationwide to users 21 and older. According to the company, players receive fun money for signing in daily, and there are no in-app purchases for extra gameplay or wagering credits.
Choctaw Sports covers 12 sports: football, baseball, basketball, golf, cricket, hockey, tennis, table tennis, soccer, Formula 1, UFC/MMA, and volleyball. The platform is powered by Kambi’s turnkey sportsbook technology.
In the App Store description, Choctaw Sports says users can “make picks on your favorite games, all without spending a dime.” Tom McDonald, senior director of digital gaming for Choctaw Casinos & Resorts, said the product is meant to let people “have fun and learn about the ins and outs of sports betting without any risk.”
The launch stands out because Oklahoma does not have legal sports betting. The state legislature has already adjourned for 2026, and the source report says no citizen-led referendum campaign will put sports betting on the November ballot.
For players, that means Choctaw Sports is not a real-money sportsbook and does not change Oklahoma’s legal betting status. Instead, it offers a no-cash way to follow games in a sportsbook-style format.
Choctaw also operates Choctaw Slots, a fun money social slots app that launched in 2022. The company has additionally said it will soon launch Bet Choctaw, a real-money online gaming app that will only be usable when a user is physically located on a Choctaw casino property.
What to watch next is whether Choctaw provides more detail on the timing of Bet Choctaw and whether Oklahoma revisits sports betting in 2027. Until state law changes, Choctaw Sports remains a free-to-play alternative rather than a legal real-money sportsbook in Oklahoma.
