Boyd Gaming will add 19 casino resorts, including properties in California, to Sonesta International Hotels’ distribution platform beginning in January 2027, according to Hoodline.
The exclusive strategic affiliation covers more than 9,700 hotel rooms and 600,000 square feet of meeting and event space across the participating resorts.
Sonesta adds a booking channel for Boyd resorts
The agreement expands distribution and marketing for the Boyd properties while leaving their ownership and operations unchanged. Bookings will continue through Boyd’s traditional distribution channels after the Sonesta platform launches.
Boyd president and CEO Keith Smith said the affiliation creates an opportunity to broaden the company’s national customer base and introduce Sonesta customers to Boyd’s hospitality and entertainment offerings.
The portfolio includes nine Southern Nevada resorts: Aliante, California Hotel and Casino, Cannery, Fremont, Gold Coast, Main Street Station, The Orleans, Sam’s Town and Suncoast. California Hotel and Casino is a Las Vegas property.
Loyalty links and hotel development are planned
Boyd and Sonesta also plan to link their Boyd Rewards and Sonesta Travel Pass loyalty programs. Sonesta Travel Pass has more than 7 million members, according to the companies’ figures reported by Hoodline.
Sonesta co-CEO Keith Pierce described the affiliation as advancing the company’s franchise-focused growth strategy.
The companies plan to explore hotel development opportunities tied to Boyd’s existing properties and future projects, potentially including Sonesta-branded conversions, rebrands and new-build hotels.
