Novig has signed a multi-year partnership with the New York Mets, becoming the club’s Exclusive Official Prediction Market Partner in what the companies described as the first deal of its kind between a Major League Baseball franchise and a prediction market.

The agreement will put Novig across the Mets’ in-ballpark, broadcast, digital, and social channels. Fans can expect Citi Field signage, branded in-game moments, broadcast-visible branding, and original digital content tied to the partnership.

For Novig, the deal adds a major team relationship just as it prepares for a nationwide launch next month as a federally regulated sports prediction market. The company also recently became an MLB Authorized Prediction Market, a designation that includes participation in MLB’s integrity program, market monitoring, reporting protocols, and restrictions on markets that pose integrity risk.

Lew Sherr, the Mets’ president of business operations, said the club was proud to be the first MLB team to partner with a prediction market company and framed the agreement as part of the organization’s effort to deliver new fan experiences.

Novig CEO and co-founder Jacob Fortinsky said the company’s goal is to build “the home for sports trading” and said the Mets partnership brings that vision directly to fans in a major sports market.

What remains unclear is how broadly this will affect players in the near term. The announcement did not disclose financial terms, the length of the multi-year agreement, the exact date of Novig’s launch next month, or which states will be included in that rollout.

Still, the announcement is notable for two reasons: it gives Novig its first partnership with a professional sports team, and it marks another step in the push to bring prediction-market products closer to mainstream U.S. sports audiences under a regulated framework.

For readers watching the category, the next key development is Novig’s planned nationwide launch. Details on availability, market offerings, and timing were not included in the announcement.
