Kalshi and Polymarket have each signed new partnerships with Genius Sports to add official league data and integrity monitoring to their sports trading products, a move that could make contract settlement more transparent and give leagues more visibility into suspicious trading patterns.

Genius Sports said the agreements will bring real-time official data into the platforms’ sports contracts. For Polymarket, the arrangement also includes live sports streaming.

What the Genius Sports deals add

According to the source report, Genius Sports provides real-time official data to more than 1,000 sports organizations worldwide, including the NFL, the English Premier League and the NCAA. The company said official league data can make settlement less reliant on unofficial or delayed sources.

The new partnerships also include integrity services. Kalshi and Polymarket will share sports trading data with Genius Sports so leagues and governing bodies can better monitor real-time trading tied to games and players.

Sean Conroy, Genius Sports’ EVP of rights and partnerships, said prediction markets are becoming “an important new way for fans to engage with live sports.”

Why integrity monitoring is part of the pitch

The reported goal of the data-sharing setup is to help detect activity that could point to match fixing or the improper use of confidential information. That places prediction market operators closer to the monitoring systems already familiar in other parts of the sports wagering ecosystem.

Polymarket President of Sports Business Development Ari Borod said “trust, transparency and innovation are fundamental to the long-term development of sports prediction markets.” Kalshi Head of Sports Partnerships Adam Barrick said the use of official data and integrity services matters more as the sector expands.

The report also noted an open question around scope. Because Genius Sports counts the NCAA among its partners, college competitions could potentially fall into the same data and integrity pipeline, though specific leagues or contract categories covered by these new deals were not disclosed.

What players should watch

For users of sports contracts, the most immediate takeaway is back-end rather than front-end: more official data in grading and more formal oversight of unusual trading activity. In Polymarket’s case, live streaming is also part of the agreement.

What remains unclear is which sports or events will be covered, how the data-sharing process will work in practice, and what commercial terms were agreed. As with any sports trading product, participation should be limited to adults of legal age and approached responsibly.
