On Saturday, Terence Crawford will fight Canelo Álvarez in a much-anticipated match.

The “superfight” will be the first for sweepstakes casino Crown Coins as the official sponsor of Crawford, an undefeated fighter with 31 knockouts in 41 career fights.

Álvarez and Crawford will square off with the super middleweight title belt on the line at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The match is part of a night of boxing streaming live on Netflix.

It’s expected that millions will tune in to see the title fight, and Crown Coins Casino will have a ringside seat.

Moving up a class

Typically a middleweight, Crawford is moving up a class to fight Álvarez. The super middleweight class fights in the 160-168-pound range. Crawford has won championships in four classes, from lightweight to light middleweight. He usually fights in the 150-154-pound range.

The American fighter is known for his devastating knockout punch and quick footwork in the ring. At 37 years old, Crawford is seeking a fifth title, having won his first in 2014.

Álvarez is 63-2-2, with 39 knockouts. The 35-year old from Guadalajara, Mexico, currently holds the title in this weight class. Odds show Álvarez as a favorite.

Major sponsorship for Crown Coins

Crown Coins is taking a major step in forming a sponsoring partnership with Crawford. The company offers a free-to-play casino gaming app in several states. The platform is one of the most popular sweepstakes casino operators the US.

Crawford is the light middleweight champion and became the first male fighter to capture two titles in the “four-belt era” of the sport.

Crawford said he is jazzed about his partnership with Crown Coins.

“This fight is about legacy. To have Crown Coins Casino in my corner for the biggest night of my career means a lot. I am excited to partner with Crown Coins Casino and look forward to working together in the future inside and outside of the ring.”

Crown said it made the decision to partner with Crawford because it wanted to join “one of the top social casino platforms in the US with one of the best fighters on the planet.”

Ben Joffer, CEO of Crown Coins Casino, said Crawford represents what the company believes in.

“Crown Coins Casino is thrilled to sponsor Terence Crawford, one of the greatest fighters to ever step into the ring, a true symbol of determination, discipline, and greatness – everything we champion as a company.”
