Fliff Superstars Review | Up to $1,000 Deposit Match
Fliff Superstars, a new real-money DFS product from Fliff, is now available in California as of Jan. 1, 2026. This new product exists within the current Fliff Social Sportsbook app and shares some similarities with the now outlawed social sportsbook, but it functions purely as a real money daily fantasy app that’s legal in California.

- Exciting app interface
- Quick and easy banking options
- Engaging social community
Like many people, I was sad to see Fliff leave California with the ban on sweeps sites and social sportsbooks. Well, the loss turned out
to be short lived as Fliff Superstars debuted just as the social sportsbook shuttered.
There are a few things I really like about this CA Daily Fantasy Sports site, namely the payout features and the user interface, but there are a couple of areas where I think it may confuse new players.
I’ll cover all of that, along with the bonus info, available markets, customer support, and banking options in this review.
Let’s dive into Fliff Superstars.
Fliff Superstars promos | 3.5/5 stars
To be frank, I’m not impressed with the Fliff Superstars welcome offer and ongoing promos. I received the option to claim the welcome offer after making my initial deposit. The offer entailed $5 in Fliff credits (pretty inconsequential) added to my balance or a deposit match up to $1,000.
I opted for the $5 in site credits because it had a manageable 5X playthrough as opposed to the 10X playthrough of the deposit match. Not very exciting, and definitely not something that’s going to motivate many people to sign up.

Fliff Superstars welcome offer: How it works
The welcome offer choices came with very little fanfare. In fact, I wasn’t expecting one at all until I deposited $20 and received the offer to claim $5 in bonus credits or a deposit match. No promo coded required.
The welcome bonus was added to my wallet immediately and came with the aforementioned 5X playthrough requirement.
I’d also note that my initial cash deposit also included a 1X playthrough requirement, so bear that in mind going in: you won’t be able to quickly pull out your funds if you find Fliff Superstars isn’t for you.
The Fliff user interface makes it easy to track your playthrough, separating different playthrough requirements for cash deposits and bonus funds into easy-to-follow progress bars. I had to play through my initial deposit funds before I could start playing through my bonus funds, which was fine as there was no time limit to clear my bonus funds anyway.
Fliff Superstars welcome offer: How it compares
When compared to other top fantasy operators in California, Fliff Superstars’ welcome offer won’t turn many heads. It comes down to the high playthrough offered at Fliff, which negates the deposit match bonus for me, and leaves me with a paltry $5 in site credit.
By comparison, I deposited $5 at Underdog Fantasy and received $75 in fantasy credits for use on any contest. Those credits came with only a 1X playthrough as well. That’s a much better deal for any new player.
Fliff Superstars ongoing promos

At present, Fliff Superstars doesn’t have a large menu of ongoing promos, which I find to be a minor drawback, considering the hefty playthrough requirements on other bonus offers. It also doesn’t advertise them very well.
A further drawback for California players is that the original Experience Points system within the Fliff Social Sportsbook is the main vehicle for existing player bonuses. XP can be converted into cash and gift cards, and it can also be used to fund your Fliff Superstars account. However, most of the ways you accrue experience points come through the social sportsbook, which is no longer available in California.
So, what ongoing promos are Californians left with in Fliff Superstars? At the moment, you can refer a friend and get 200 XP for every $1 they deposit, up to 10,000 XP. If we’re talking cash, 100 XP converts to $1. To get the most out of Superstars’ refer-a-friend system, your referred friend would need to deposit $50.
You may also find that Fliff will float you a $10 bonus if you visit the account screen and explore the banking options. I can’t be certain what triggered this for me, but I took the bonus and the 10X playthrough it came with.
How to sign up at Fliff Superstars
If you’re already a Fliff customer, you won’t need to do anything other than possibly updating your existing Fliff app.
If you’re new to Fliff, you’ll need to download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store, or you can use the web app, available on the Fliff website. I, personally, have had trouble accessing the web app, so if you run into the following message, you’re not alone:
This website is only available in mobile mode. You can load it on your phone or download the native app from the app stores.
Once you’ve got your preferred app, you’ll be asked to fill in some basic personal information, confirm your identity, and then you’ll be given the option to fund your account. It’s that simple. You can explore the app without depositing, so don’t feel pressured to deposit straight away.
Sites like Fliff Superstars: How it compares
With the ban on social sportsbooks in California, the number of DFS options in California has diminished considerably. That said, you’ve still got options. Let’s look at how Fliff Superstars stacks up against some of the other top DFS sites in the state.

Fliff Superstars stacks up with the best fantasy sites in California in terms of app quality and user experience. You’ll find better bonuses elsewhere, but that shouldn’t stop you from giving Fliff Superstars a try.
Fliff Superstars app and website experience | 4.7/5 stars
This is the area where Fliff Superstars really shines. The app interface (available for both Apple and Android) presents you with clear and obvious pathways to navigate. The account screens represent your balance, experience points, playthrough progress, and other important details in a simple form. The cool blue color scheme is easy on the eyes. You get a bad-ass avatar that you can modify to look like a Fortnite player, a break dancer, or a medieval doctor. The social community is always there for playful banter, pick touting, and tips. It’s just fun.
I’ve really been impressed with how effortlessly Fliff integrated Superstars into its existing social sports betting app. While California players won’t recognize many of these features while playing in the state, when you access the site from states that allow the full menu of Fliff products, you’ll note how easy it is to move between social sportsbook and DFS product.
In all, Fliff Superstars makes placing your bets, tracking your picks, and following your playthrough progress very easy. It’s also one of the few DFS products that uses official pro league logos: NHL only.
Pick types and sports markets at Fliff Superstars | 4.0/5 stars
You’ll find a decent range of sports markets available at Fliff Superstars. These markets include most major pro and collegiate leagues in the US, as well as international leagues such as the Korean Basketball League and various international soccer leagues. You’ll also find popular individual sports like tennis, golf, and MMA.
Sports markets favor a wide range of prop-style picks along with Superstars’ unique Star Pack product.
Conventional markets are limited at Fliff Superstars. You won’t find any moneyline, point totals, over/under, or spread bets. Props and parlays dominate.
The other important detail to note is that you must make at least a two-pick parlay for every play. There are no single bets with Fliff Superstars.
How Fliff Superstars’ Star Packs work
This is one of those areas where I think new customers may run into some confusion.
The Star Pack is one of Fliff Superstars’ main pick types. Essentially, it’s a Fliff-curated group of players from the same team whose stats are combined and pitted against a different curated group of players from the opposing team.
When you select a league, by default, you will be shown a list of game matchups that seem to suggest that you can pick the winners from a list of games. In fact, those matchups are all Star Packs, and you’re not necessarily picking who will win the game. You’re picking whether a set of players from Team A will outperform a set of players from Team B.
One thing to note with Star Packs: if one of the players in your Star Pack gets injured, Fliff will “replace them with the highest projected scorer in the stat category.”
Evaluating Fliff Superstars’ odds
You’ll see all odds on Fliff Superstars displayed as multipliers. This correlates with the site’s payout approach (which I’ll get to in a moment), and it’s a pretty straightforward way to understand what you stand to win. Just multiply your stake by the multiplier associated with your pick, and that’s what Fliff Superstars refers to as your payout from its “Guaranteed Prize Pool” (GPP).
Superstars also feature a further prize option. Once the GPP is paid out, any money left in the pool is distributed to all players who made picks in that contest, based on their contest scores.
Superstars notes that you can make your picks and fill in your pick slips for either a “Max Play”, where all your picks have to hit in order to win, or a “Flex Play”, where you can lose a portion of your total picks, and still cash out a percentage of your total. I’ve yet to see the Flex Play feature on any of my picks, but I expect it will be rolled out soon.
I’ve also not seen any boosted odds or special pick packages. It’s all stripped down and straightforward. If you’re someone who hunts for those one-off boost packages, Fliff Superstars may leave you wanting.
As a caveat, Superstars is a new product and features are still being rolled out. We may see more variety in the coming months.
Banking: Deposits and withdrawals at Fliff Superstars | 4.4/5 stars
In keeping with Superstars’ excellent user interface, banking on the site is a breeze. You’ve got a decent amount of useful deposit options, including funding your account with Fliff Cash and Fliff XP, but withdrawal options are more limited. Transactions are snappy, as well. The one downside to all of the banking options at Fliff Superstars is that they require a $50 minimum to withdraw funds.
Here’s a breakdown of what’s offered for both deposit and withdrawal.
| Method | Deposits | Minimum / Time | Withdrawals | Minimum / Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex) | ✅ | $5 / Instant | ✅ | $50 / 24 Hours |
| Credit Card | ✅ | $5 / Instant | ❌ | ❌ |
| Bank Transfer | ✅ | $5 / Instant | ✅ | $50 / 24 Hours |
| PayPal | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |
| Venmo | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |
| Apple Pay | ✅ | $5 / Instant | ❌ | ❌ |
| Fliff Cash | ✅ | $1 / Instant | ❌ | ❌ |
| Skrill | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ | $50 / 1-2 Business Days |
| Fliff XP | ✅ | $1 / Instant | ❌ | ❌ |
I’ve always stuck to Apple Pay for deposits (I like the added security) and instant bank transfer for withdrawal, and I’ve received all my payouts in one business day or less.

Yes. Fliff Superstars is legal in California and ten other states. Fliff is one of the better-trusted DFS and social sportsbooks in the country. After using the social sportsbook for over three years, I’ve never had any issues depositing or withdrawing funds, and the customer support has always been quick and helpful.

Fliff uses secure login tools to help customers log in. You’ll verify your identity when logging in through Persona Identity Verification Services. This will require you to share your ID, your Social Security number, a selfie that matches your ID, and some other basic information.

Responsible gambling tools at Fliff Superstars
Responsible gambling tools are conspicuously absent from Fliff Superstars. While the Fliff website offers some basic RG recommendations, like monitoring your spending and playing for fun, the app doesn’t give players any tools beyond their player stats to monitor their gameplay. This is an area where Fliff Superstars needs to step up their game.
Customer support at Fliff Superstars | 4.1/5
You’ll find limited options for customer support at Fliff Superstars. Essentially, you’ve got an email contact form in the app and a Help Center on the website.
While the options are limited, I’ve reached out to Fliff customer support twice through the email contact form and gotten an effective human response within an hour.
By comparison, Underdog’s customer support options include in-app messaging, email support, an in-app help center, and a dedicated support channel on X (formerly Twitter).

Final thoughts on Fliff Superstars
Fliff Superstars offers a decent range of markets, competitive odds, and a somewhat lackluster bonus program. But despite some middling individual features, I really enjoy my experience on the app. It’s smooth, attractive, and, most importantly, fun. The social community is quite active, and the site is geared for you to build an identity on it while playing. I appreciate all of those details. They’re what keep me coming back to Fliff Superstars.
