The social betting company Sparket is expanding its footprint in the gaming industry thanks to a new partnership with PENN Entertainment.
Sparket also landed deals with two casinos in California earlier this month.
PENN Play Casino gets the Sparket touch
PENN, which rebranded its sportsbook as ESPN Bet last year, is a significant player in the iCasino industry.
The partnership with Sparket includes integrating social betting technology to create live events in PENN Play Casino. This free-to-play online social casino platform allows customers to play Vegas-style games of chance.
Players can win comps and tier points in the PENNPlay Rewards program. The tier points can be used at PENN’s land-based casino properties for hotel and dining perks, exclusive event access, and more.
Since social casinos do not involve playing for real money, they are legal nationwide.
A banner year for Sparket in California
Sparket reported more than 300% quarter-over-quarter revenue growth in the second quarter of 2024 and expects “to exceed this momentum in the latter half of the year in revenue and user engagement with its new partnerships,” the company said in a press release.
In addition to its recent deal with PENN, Sparket sealed agreements with two California casinos this summer.
Soboba Casino Resort added social wagering to its casino app for free-to-play social betting on sporting events. Casino Pauma, according to Sparket, “will offer unique and highly rewarding contests to further engage and excite patrons” via social gaming.
“We are thrilled with our Q3 performance to date and the incredible growth we’ve seen,” said Aaron Basch, CEO of Sparket, via the press release. “Our partnerships with PENN Entertainment, Casino Pauma, and Soboba Casino and Resort are a testament to the value and potential of our platform. We are excited to work together to bring unparalleled social betting experiences to our users.”
Sparket also has partnerships with Nevada casinos, golf resorts, and esports tournaments.
