How to bet on the Warriors in California
While California doesn’t have regular online sportsbooks like many other states, there are options in CA including betting at social sportsbooks like Fliff Sportsbook. These sites use virtual currencies rather than real money, so, for example, at Fliff you can make wagers using Fliff Coins or Fliff Cash. But these sites also offer ways to redeem winnings for cash prizes, such as at Fliff where you can redeem Fliff Cash.
Like regular online sportsbooks, the social sportsbooks also routinely run promotions and offer bonuses and other perks to players. These include welcome offers, and indeed if you sign up over at Fliff (for example), you’ll be given Fliff Coins and Fliff Cash just for doing so and be able to start placing bets right away.
Fliff Sportsbook is also running an additional welcome offer if you wish to make a purchase of Fliff Coins. Note that you don’t have to purchase anything to wager on Fliff, but if you do buy Fliff Coins you’ll get Fliff Cash as a bonus. The welcome offer adds more to that by making a 100% match of your first purchase, a bonus that can potentially be worth up to 600,000 in Fliff Coins plus another $100 in Fliff Cash.
Look also for other promos and bonuses at Fliff, including:
- Daily login bonuses
- Boosted odds and “superboosts” (e.g., an even-money bet on Stephen Curry to score over 0.5 points in a game)
- Referral bonuses
These social sportsbooks offer a fun and safe option for CA bettors while lawmakers and others continue to debate the possibility of formally legalizing sports betting in California at some future date.
Golden State Warriors game lines
You’ll find the social sportsbooks are similar to other sites in that they feature a variety of ways to bet on NBA games. These include opportunities to bet on Warriors player props such as on how many points Curry will score, as well as the ability to build parlays and make other kinds of wagers. The available bet types start, however, with the three most popular ways to bet on NBA games — moneyline, spread, and totals bets.
What is the Warriors moneyline?
Moneyline bets are wagers on an outright winner, locking in the currently posted odds at the time you place a bet.
For example, if the Warriors are about to play the Los Angeles Lakers, the moneyline might be set at LA Lakers +160 at Golden State Warriors -180. The Lakers +160 line tells you the Lakers are underdogs and you stand to win $160, plus your bet back, for every $100 you bet on LA. The Warriors -180 line tells you the Warriors are favorites and you stand to win $100, plus your bet back, for every $175 you bet on Golden State.
What is the Warriors point spread?
NBA spread betting asks you to pick a winner with a winning margin set by oddsmakers factored into the final score. You also lock in the currently posted odds at the time you place a bet. However, that winning margin evens out most odds.
For example, the Warriors-Lakers spread might be LA Lakers +7.5 (-110) @ Golden State Warriors -7.5 (-110). The bets on the Lakers will win if LA wins outright or loses by seven points or less. The bets on the Warriors are on the Warriors to win by eight or more. According to the -110 odds posted here, you’ll win $100 for every $110 wagered, plus your original stake back, on either side.
What is the Warriors over/under?
Totals betting is about picking whether the total score in a game (by both teams added together) will land over or under a specific line.
The Warriors-Lakers total line could be 205.5 points. You can bet the over or under at -110 odds. The under will pay $100 for every $110 bet, plus your original stake back if the game finishes with a combined total of 205 points or less. The over will pay $100 for every $110 bet, plus your original stake back, if the game finishes with a combined total of 206 points or more.
Live betting on the Warriors
Watch a Warriors game from the privacy of your own home, or anywhere you like for that matter, and as long as your phone or tablet is in your hand, you can place bets in the middle of the action. Live betting is a favorite feature at sports betting apps across the country, and it is available as well at social sportsbooks like Fliff as well.
With live betting, you can often make all the same wagers that were available before tip-off even after the game has started. That means you can bet on moneylines, spreads, totals, props and more as the game progresses, with the odds and payouts changing constantly in response to how the game is progressing.
Warriors futures odds
Warriors futures are season-long wagers that will be settled at a future date. Examples include betting on Golden State to win another NBA title, or to make the NBA Finals as Western Conference champs.
These are the kind of bets that are available from the offseason through the postseason at odds that change with the team’s chances of accomplishing the goal the bet sets out. Sometimes that means the earlier you bet, the better the Warriors betting odds will be. Once the Warriors are close to winning the Western Conference or the NBA Finals, the odds will shrink significantly. The Warriors or another team could start the year at +2000 to win it all, then have a great year and enter the playoffs as a high seed with odds of +600.
At the start of the 2024-25 season, here were some popular futures bets on the Warriors and the approximate odds most sportsbooks were featuring for each:
- Warriors win total — 43.5 wins (over -110 / under -110)
- Warriors to win Western Conference — Yes (-115) / No (-110)
- Warriors to win NBA title — Yes (+3500)
As you can see, expectations are for the Warriors to be around a .500 team in 2024-25, which would be a step back from the 46-36 team of a year ago. Golden State’s chances of making the playoffs are also being set at close to even money. Meanwhile, an NBA title this year is rated a longshot, although in fact there are only around 10 teams with shorter odds at most sites.
The loss of Klay Thompson by trade is certainly part of the thinking here, but they also still have Curry and Draymond Green plus a number of talented younger players who should help make the team highly competitive.
Golden State Warriors history
The Golden State Warriors were founded in Philadelphia, but moved to the Bay Area in 1962, becoming the San Francisco Warriors first and eventually the Golden State Warriors in 1971. The Warriors won two Basketball Association of America championships, before an NBA title in 1975, behind the play of stars Rick Barry and Jamaal Wilkes.
The “Run TMC” Warriors were competitive in the 1980s thanks to stars Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, and Chris Mullin. However, another championship did not come until stars Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green led them to it in 2015. The Warriors lost to Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals. Golden State added superstar Kevin Durant in the offseason and won back-to-back NBA Championships in 2017 and 2018, then after Durant left they added another title in 2022.
The Warriors are owned by science and tech investor Joe Lacob, who led a group of investors to buy the team for $450 million in 2010. Other investors include Mandalay Entertainment CEO Peter Guber. According to Forbes the team is now worth $7.7 billion, making it the most valuable NBA franchise ahead of the runner-up New York Knicks currently valued at $6.6 billion.

Warriors gambling partners
The Warriors has partnered with Cache Creek Casino Resort for events in the past. For instance, the team once held a “25 DAYS OF WINNING” sweepstakes-style contest sponsored by Cache Creek. The Northern California tribal casino has been involved in several other promos with the team as well.
California doesn’t have legal and regulated sports betting yet, which is part of the reason the Warriors do not have an official sports betting partner. That said, DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook are both Official Sports Betting Partners of the NBA. MGM Resorts is the Official Gaming Partner of the NBA. Plus, a number of other online sportsbooks are Authorized Sports Betting Operators of the NBA.
Who are the Warriors broadcasters?
Close to a third of the Warriors games are on national television this season. That means ABC, TNT, ESPN, and NBA TV cover the Warriors regularly. Locally in the Bay Area and Northern California, NBC Sports Bay Area is the exclusive TV home for Warriors games and are broadcasting 70 of the 82 regular season games this year. Bob Fitzgerald does play-by-play and former Warrior Kelenna Azubuike is the color analyst.
On the radio, 95.7 The Game is the flagship radio station for Warriors basketball and broadcasts all games. Tim Roye is the radio play-by-play voice of the Warriors.

Golden State Warriors FAQ
With two NBA Most Valuable Player awards and three NBA championships, an argument could be made that Stephen Curry is the greatest Warrior of all time.
However, many purists say Wilt Chamberlain has that honor, having spent three seasons with the Warriors in Philadelphia and two-and-a-half in San Francisco. Chamberlain was considered unstoppable and the greatest player of his era. He won four MVP awards in his career and two titles, although none came as a Warrior.
The Warriors were founded as the Philadelphia Warriors in the Basketball Association of America in 1946. Three years later, the Basketball Association of America became the NBA. In 1962, Radio and TV producer Franklin Mieuli bought the team and moved it to the Bay Area, renaming it the San Francisco Warriors.
Almost a decade later, with the team playing most home games in Oakland for the 1971–72 season, the name was changed to Golden State Warriors after California’s state nickname.
“Dubs” is short for the plural of “W,” and because the name Warriors starts with a “W” many Bay Area locals and fans across the country have nicknamed the Warriors the “Dubs.” Apparently, the nickname “Double U’s” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
