Wide receiver Cooper Kupp: one of NFL's greatest players leads the Los Angels Rams to Super Bowl LVI

The biggest single-day sporting event of the year has arrived, and Super Bowl LVI favors the Los Angeles Rams according to sportsbooks. The Rams are a 4-point favorite against the Cincinnati Bengals on the eve of the Big Game.

The Rams’ determination and destiny are fueled by their star receiver Cooper Kupp‘s drive to greatness. It’s a story to behold, as Kupp’s approach and scientific exploration to greatness has led the Rams to the pinnacle of pro football – The Super Bowl.

During the 2021 journey to Super Bowl 56, Kupp earned the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year honor.

Cooper Kupp’s sensational season and stats

Kupp’s stats this season are off the charts. His 145 catches and 1,947 receiving yards were the second-highest totals in league history. He added 16 touchdowns and now Kupp has accumulated 170 catches, 2,333 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns.

In his fifth season with the Rams, as a third-round pick out of Eastern Washington, Kupp reached his physical and mental peak. His skills, stats and production earned him first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections.

Kupp recorded 90-plus receiving yards in 13 straight games and 16 overall. The most in NFL history. His 11 games with 100-plus yards tied the NFL record.

To hear Kupp’s teammates describe his dedication and commitment to his craft confirms how his hard work, determination and drive are paying off. To hear it from a 40-year-old teammate, four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro Andrew Whitworth is very special.

Whitworth was just honored this week with the ultimate NFL honor, as he was named the 2021 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year.

In accepting the award at Thursday’s NFL Honors in Los Angeles, Whitworth gave an inspiring speech (4:00 mark). He spoke about giving back to your community, helping others and living life with your heart.

“We just have to keep investing in each other. Let your heart lead you all the way.”

So to hear Whitworth describe Cooper Kupp and his investment as the best player and teammate adds even more meaning.

“I think of Cooper and I think of consistency, discipline, commitment. All these things that really go into a daily process that is as rare as I’ve ever seen.”

It’s easy to cheer for players like Cooper Kupp and Andrew Whitworth. Rams fans and most of California are hoping the season ends with a Super Bowl victory.
