The parent company of Global Poker has invigorated its partnership with the Scuderia Ferrari HP Formula 1 team through an expansive media brand campaign ahead of this weekend’s at the United States Grand Prix F1 race in Austin, TX.
Global Poker, one of the largest online poker platforms, is owned by Virtual Gaming Worlds (VGW).
Since 2023, VGW has been a premium level partner of the Scuderia Ferrari F1 team based in Maranello, Italy. Founded in 1929, Scuderia is the oldest team in that race circuit, and one of the most successful.
Raise your game campaign combines worlds of F1 and poker
The new campaign, starring driver Charles Leclerc, cements the commitment between Global Poker and Scuderia, each of them a leader in their respective industries. It also combines the excitement of poker and auto racing.
Global Poker, a California online poker site, boasts more than one million users according to VGW. The operator says its app offers “the ultimate online social poker experience for players of all levels in North America.”
Scuderia Ferrari drivers will be featured alongside Global Poker product offerings in key brand marketing campaigns coordinated with F1 races in the US, Brazil, and Mexico markets.
Branded as “Raise your game,” the VGW/Global Poker and Scuderia branding efforts will appear for the first time in commercials leading up to the US Grand Prix, which will be held in Austin this Sunday.
“Raise your game” advertisements will appear on many media channels, including television, radio, Internet, and on location at the F1 races.
Meanwhile, Leclerc is ranked third in the world heading into the US Grand Prix with 245 points. He has two wins and has been on the podium nine times in 2024.
About Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1
For almost 100 years, the Ferrari team has competed in racing. It was founded in 1929 by legendary driver Enzo Ferrari, who initially drove automobiles designed by Alfa Romeo Automobiles. Since 1950, the team has competed in every world championship series race, the only team to do so.
No F1 team can match Scuderia’s 15 Drivers’ Championships, nor its 245 F1 race victories all-time. Some of the most renowned drivers have worn the Scuderia Ferrari uniform, including Alberto Ascari, Juan Manuel Fangio, and Michael Schumacher. Current drivers are Charles Leclerc, Oliver Bearman, and Carlos Sainz Jr.
Scuderia has been attached to the team name for at least half a century. The term is Italian for a stable for horses. It refers to the prancing horse logo present on all Ferraro automobiles.
Earlier this year, the team announced a partnership with Hewlett-Packard Inc.. The latter changed its official name to Scuderia Ferrari HP starting with the 2024 Miami Grand Prix.
