Rolling Hills Casino adds cashless option for customers

Cashless gaming is becoming all the rage in the Golden State.

Rolling Hills Casino & Resort, a Northern California casino is the most recent to offer the option. The Corning area property is partnering with Acres Manufacturing Company to offer its Cashless Casino technology application.

The new option will be available at Rolling Hills during the first half of 2023.

Acres’ Cashless Casino app could be a game changer for the industry. It is designed to work on any slot machine or table game. Casinos only need to link a mobile app with their technology and connect with a payment processor.

Rolling Hills is a trendsetter

California prohibits online casinos. However, there are several dozen California tribal casinos scattered across the state. With brick-and-mortar casinos offering cashless options, this is the next best thing to gambling online.

Rolling Hills is the second Northern California casino to add cashless gaming options for its customers since last October when Elk Grove’s Sky River Casino created cashless options through a partnership with Konami Gaming, Inc. and Everi Holdings Inc.

Andrew “Dru” Alejandre, Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians tribal chairman, the tribe which operates Rolling Hills, said the casino is excited to add the service for its customers.

“We always support the leadership’s approach to deploying innovative technologies to provide our players with a great gaming entertainment experience. And Acres’ Cashless Casino application furthers this focus. The deployment of Cashless Casino on our gaming floor will allow us to further improve our guest experience by providing players with a seamless, easy-to-use cashless funding option.”

Once live, Rolling Hills will become the 22nd casino in 10 states to utilize Acres’ product. Altogether, Cashless Casino will be linked to over 30,000 slot machines nationwide.

With a user-friendly product, Cashless Casino will become commonplace at retail casinos coast to coast. Moreover, Rolling Hills is at the forefront of that trend.

Cashless Casino benefits casinos and customers alike

Beyond synchronizability and user-friendliness, Cashless Casino incorporates loyalty features to provide a comprehensive player experience, said Steve Neely, Rolling Hills general manager.

“Cashless Casino will help us increase our engagement with players while also providing us with operating efficiencies. The easy and quick implementation timing for Cashless Casino was a key factor in our selection of this technology for our cashless gaming functionality. We look forward to working with the Acres team to bring this new feature to our players in early 2023.”

Additionally, the app makes life easier for casinos, too. It provides all necessary audit reports and dispute resolution tools for casinos as players move money between machines.

As a result, Acres Chief Operating Officer Noah Acres said Cashless Casino allows casinos to concentrate on other aspects of their business.

“We’ve designed Cashless Casino to be easy and intuitive to roll out which will help the Rolling Hills Casino team to focus on player education and the gaming entertainment experience. Early deployments of cashless gaming powered by our Foundation platform have proven that by providing players with an engaging, entertaining and seamless experience, casino operators benefit from increased play and visitation.

“We are confident that Cashless Casino will provide similar benefits to Rolling Hills Casino and their valued customers.”
